New to planted
Hi planted shifu,I have recently just started a new 2x1x1 3d background planted and would like to seek your advice for the livestock/plant part.
currently it is like this, it is much clearer now.
please do guide me along. i am doing a low tech planted tank. current live stock is 10 juv panda angels, 9 tiger barbs and a few ghost shrimp. i want to overstock them so the plants can make use of the excessive carbon dioxide.
Please do recommend me what kind of plants i should get and if it is gettable at c328 as i stay in pasir ris and do not go there as often as bros who stays in the west.
Question.
1) what plants should i get/remove from this current setup?
2) should i add shrimps to this current tank? (CRS?).
3) should i replace the 9 tiger barbs with tetras?

First of all I want to say, you got it all wrong. You should not be overstocking so that plants can make use of all the co2 from your livestock. The co2 produced is not and will not be enough for your plants to absorb the nutrients which in the end will cause an algae breakout.
The right way is making use of co2 to make the plants work and support the bio load of your tank.
And did you add potassium and micros? If not your plants will not grow.
Now Im going to answer your 3 questions,
1) you should go for Anubias or ferns instead as they do not require much and can do without co2 or bright lights.
2) CRS is a nono with your panda angels
3) take care of your plants and your plants will take care of your water. So get the necessary to make a proper planted tank. If not just do a low requirement planted with minimal livestock.
Why need to go C328 when the best place to shop for plants is at Pasir Ris Farmway 3? Go to Capricorn at Pasir Ris Farmway 3 instead.. Its just right beside irwana

>Mini update. Did as mod told me. removed all the existing plant. i went to get some plants which i dont know about. but this is the end product.
Converted it to a shrimp tank. somehow.. lol
current livestock 10 x tetras and 5 x ss
